\n\tThe TMBC team are delighted to invite you to our upcoming online Partners Forum that is scheduled to take place on Thursday 9th May at 11am – 12pm.<\/p>\n
This session will focus on exotic caulerpa seaweeds and their impacts on our marine and other environment. Exotic caulerpa has recently been found in waters in the Hauraki Gulf and the Bay of Islands. These exotic seaweeds can spread rapidly and could affect native and taonga species. If you’re involved in boating or fishing, you have a role to play in stopping their spread.<\/p>\n

We are excited to have presentations from:<\/strong><\/p>\nJohn Walsh<\/strong>, Director Readiness & Response Services, Biosecurity New Zealand In a region where our livelihoods and economy are so dependent on the natural environment, the focus of TMBC continues to be on increasing local awareness about why biosecurity matters to all of us who live here and just what would be lost if exotic pests or diseases entered and established in our region.
