Congratulations to the winners of the Guardian of the Forest – Creative Challenge. We loved seeing how each artwork entry uniquely expressed the importance of protecting our sacred kauri!
Local artist, Mr G, selected the winning piece of art from Juan Carlos Ruiz-Ayala (10 years old). We can’t wait to see his artwork showcased across the Bay of Plenty on billboards this month.
Over 1200 people voted for their favourite submission and the ‘People’s Choice’ award was won by Charlie Chesham (9 years old) from Te Puna Primary School, who will be getting his design printed on a backpack.
