Free Plant Pass Workshops – 5 July 2022

Plant Pass is a new national plant production biosecurity scheme that was launched recently.

The result of three years of work, Plant Pass is a voluntary certification scheme for New Zealand plant producers recognising good biosecurity practices and providing assurance for plant buyers.  It’s designed to harness the critical skills and observations that exist in the plant production industry to strengthen biosecurity.

This is one of many similar industry certification schemes already operating in Australia, Britain, Europe, and the United States. It is funded and organised jointly by the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) and primary sector industry bodies – including KVH – through the Government Industry Agreement (GIA).

If you’re a plant producer or nursery owner, register your interest today and help protect Aotearoa from unwanted pests and pathogens.
